Welcome to the world


This is my second newborn session I've photographed for the B family. First, a baby boy, and now, a baby girl. It was so much fun to watch little W with his baby sister. As a one and a half year old, he was wild and so excited to show me around his new house. Baby girl, A, was a beauty. She made the tiniest, sweetest squeaks that lit my ovaries on fire.

W rode his bike around the living room, we listened to country music, and just enjoyed the morning.

Sometimes lighting can be tricky with in-home newborn sessions. My biggest tip - OPEN ALL THE CURTAINS!

Newborn photographers love natural light. Lamps and overhead lights can throw off colors, making the room to appear too warm or too cool.


Natural light from the windows is always preferred. Soft, dreamy, and gorgeous skin tones!

Tiny noses, soft skin, mid-dream giggles. These moments don't last forever.

Newborn photography is so special because this season of life passes in the blink of an eye. These images preserve the tiny details you'll never want to forget and often become some of the most cherished photos a family looks back on for years to come.
